ABOUT THE ROLE 
The Warehouse Handyman is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the UAN Facility. The function of the Warehouse Handyman is to perform basic maintenance and safety duties that assist in providing a safe and positive cultural environment for our distribution facility. Performs a variety of duties related to the upkeep of warehouse areas and assets, as well general project/ticket work associated with these, and basic level safety walks.

 

HERE’S THE GOOD STUFF 

  • Base pay starts at $17 an hour 
  • Earn $1.00 more/hour for weekend shifts 
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays, as needed

  • Onsite self-service café: Full-time team Members get a weekly allowance of $35 for free meals and snacks 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 
  •  Performs some repairs and maintenance of buildings by patching walls, painting walls and trim, and replacing lighting fixtures; replaces damaged ceiling and floor tiles, repairs and builds office furniture; inspects facilities, fixtures, and material handling equipment to determine repairs needed; uses basic hand and power tools.
  • Performs general safety inspections both scheduled and in the currently assigned job site area.
  • Performs general warehouse racking and bin box repairs.
  • Inventories and stocks of needed materials and supplies.
  • Perform general labor to support operation requirements as needed.
  • General warehouse cleaning and organizing 
  • General maintenance and preventive maintenance around the facility 
  • Maintaining outside grounds. 
  • Required to operate various types of power equipment. 

 WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • Previous custodial experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility required (1-5 years) 
  • Motivation, Innovation, Passion, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer-Focus.   
  • General knowledge of hand tools  
  • Strong organizational skills  
  • Working knowledge of MS Office  
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks  
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 

 

IT’S A PHYSICAL JOB 
  • Able to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, squat, climb ladders.
  • Basic computer literacy (Windows, web browser, email).
  • Knowledge and experience with general custodial equipment and tools.
  • Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment (scrubbers, polishers).
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge.
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds. 
  • Be able to handle noisy conditions.
