ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a growing global retail organization as an Assistant Inventory & Demand Planning Analyst, where you will support data-driven inventory and forecasting decisions. This role sits at the intersection of inventory planning, demand planning, merchandising, and supply chain analytics, helping ensure the right products are available at the right time.

You’ll analyze product performance, monitor demand trends, and optimize assortment and size-level inventory to improve sales, reduce excess stock, and support overall business goals. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates early in their careers looking to grow in retail planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Analyze assortment performance, product sales trends, and inventory productivity to identify opportunities and recommend adjustments to buying and allocation strategies
  • Support inventory planning and demand forecasting by adjusting order quantities based on historical sales, seasonality, and current demand signals
  • Execute size-level and SKU-level allocation planning to ensure optimal stock distribution across channels (retail, eCommerce, warehouse)
  • Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates, and stock positions to prevent overstock, stockouts, and missed sales opportunities
  • Track purchase orders (POs), shipments, and delivery timelines, proactively identifying delays and resolving issues to minimize disruption
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP and inventory management systems, ensuring visibility across merchandising, planning, and supply chain teams
  • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, buying, supply chain, and logistics teams to align on inventory strategy and execution
  • Use Excel and reporting tools to build insights, track KPIs, and support decision-making
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Experience or coursework in retail math, inventory planning, demand forecasting, or merchandising analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred), inventory systems, or supply chain tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, Analytics, or related field
