The Quality Control Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct the Quality Control Department program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards and expectations.  The candidate will be responsible for the daily processes involved with quality evaluation of inbound container shipment and quality callouts from returns, embroidery, customer service, retail and corporate.  Ensure the team is processing all quality evaluations within AQL standards established and within Inventory Control requirements. Report evaluations and works directly with third party quality service providers when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of the Quality Control Associates; ensures their ability to safely operate; Counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary.
  • Analyzes and reviews current processes to identify ongoing initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Improve overall customer quality by driving to "root cause" and utilizing lean principles for quality improvements.
  • Lead ongoing and special projects in support of customer care and quality management. Work with cross functional internal teams.
  • Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the company quality goals in an effective and efficient manner. Interview and recommend applicants for hire as Quality Control Associates.
  • Ensures Quality inspection data is being recorded properly in the system for monthly report validation and issuance to factories. 
  • Creates and follows processes set for inbound AQL failure at a style level, at a shipment level. Escalation processes to ensure any failure is processed either internally or externally to third party for sort. Establishes sort criteria and communicates cross functionally to ensure timely processing. 

Required Skill:

  • Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively at all levels.
  • Strong critical thinking and resolution in sometimes ambiguous situations.
  • Proven ability to define, drive, and implement goals. 
  • Self-driven initiative to gain and share a broader knowledge of supply chain.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: World, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.


  • Associates Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related Field.
  • Bachelors Degree (Preferred).

Experience Required:

  • Experience in quality, warehousing, returns, customer service, inventory control or materials management in a distribution environment. (2 - 5 years experience)
  • Supervisory experience. (2 - 5 years experience)
  • Previous eCommerce or distribution experience, preferred. (1 - 3 years experience)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The employee must repeatedly lift, push, and/or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • The distribution center is subject to loud noise levels due to mechanical equipment.
  • Our Fulfillment Supervisor will often work near moving mechanical parts.
