The Operations Analyst role requires an individual that can assimilate into a variety of teams within the facility to gain a deeper understanding of underlying business processes throughout the company.  The Operations Business Analyst (BA) will interact with subordinates, peers, and superiors, so the resource must be able to work with a broad range of personalities and skillsets. The BA will report directly to the Manager, CI, and work closely with other Managers to build business process flowcharts, define improvement opportunities, gather business requirements for IT development initiatives, and assist in project lifecycle management, including end-user training and support, as needed. The BA will assume Super User responsibilities for key operational systems used throughout the company, primarily Manhattan Scale and Microsoft Dynamics AX. The BA needs to be adept in the use of statistical tools and techniques to be able to support data-driven decision-making at every level of the company.  Frequently, the information gathered and analyzed by the BA will be the information presented to company executives.  The BA must be able to think strategically and execute operational strategies to make definitive and measurable improvements for the company as a whole. The ability to think out of the box and influence peers and management with data-driven models is a must-have. Knowledge and hands-on experience working with the end-to-end supply chain processes is strongly preferred.  The ability to synthesize complex issues into succinct, articulate, executive summaries for senior leadership is a must.


  • Facilitate interview sessions to determine and document as-is process flows, then formulate process improvement opportunities in conjunction with the end-users to reduce cycle times and improve profitability.
  • Lead and/or assist with required data analysis, interpretation, correction, and execution of process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead projects for the distribution center that involve integration with new systems, robotics, and automation.
  • Act as the Super User of key operational systems such as Manhattan Scale - This includes troubleshooting, testing, and creating training plans and presentations for end-user training and change management.
  • Gain buy-in from key stakeholders to implement process improvements.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management.
  • Manage vendor relationships of current and future software and/or service providers.
  • Perform testing to support system implementations and upgrades.

  • Create and maintain process documentation for core business functions.
  • Coordinate with Training Specialist to convert SOP's into actionable training resources.

Required Skills:

  • Data analysis, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to systems and data changes.
  • Listening and communication skills.
  • A detail-oriented and self-motivated individual able to function effectively when working independently or with a team.
  • MS Project skills or similar project management tool.
  • Excel skills including the use of advanced functions.
  • Microsoft Visio 2013 skills. The Nature of Work Assignments:
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with identified goals and uses established processes to meet outlined goals.
  • The measurement time period is typically over the course of a year but may include monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Work is reviewed by management to measure the meeting of objectives.
  • Administers existing company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
  • Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies.

Required Experience:

  • Must be 18 or over.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Business analysis or project management experience.
  • Vendor management is a plus.
  • IT or system implementation experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Data analytics, SQL skills, and reporting writing experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
